1. Purpose and Scope
This Policy governs deposits, withdrawals, peer-to-peer (P2P) payment routes, payment verification, customer due diligence, fraud controls, disputed transactions, chargebacks and financial-crime controls on Myxbet. It must be read with the Terms & Conditions and Privacy & Cookie Notice.
2. Supported Payment Routes
The Platform may make available bank, wallet, payment-gateway, agent-assisted or P2P payment routes. Availability, limits, fees, processing times and verification requirements may differ by route and may change for operational, regulatory, security or liquidity reasons.
A payment route displayed as available does not guarantee that every transaction will be completed automatically or instantly.
3. P2P Payment Route
Where the Platform offers a P2P payment route, the customer may be instructed to transfer the exact amount to a payment account or counterparty details displayed or communicated through an authorized Platform flow. The customer must follow the displayed payment instructions, including amount, destination, timing and transaction reference requirements.
The customer must not rely on payment instructions received from unofficial social-media accounts, unverified agents or third parties outside an authorized Platform channel. The Platform may change or withdraw a P2P route at any time for risk, liquidity, operational, legal or compliance reasons.
A P2P transfer is not deemed credited merely because the customer states that payment was sent. Credit occurs after the transaction is matched, verified and confirmed through the Platform's automated or manual reconciliation process.
4. Automated Matching and Failed Automation
Automated payment matching may fail because of delayed provider notifications, incorrect references, amount mismatches, network interruption, duplicated transfers, third-party downtime or other technical conditions. A failed automated credit does not by itself mean the underlying transfer has been lost or accepted.
If automated matching fails or a payment is disputed, the customer must contact the official support channel and provide the information reasonably necessary to trace the transaction.
5. Transaction References and Screenshots
For an unmatched, delayed or disputed payment, the customer may be required to provide the transaction reference or transaction ID and, where reasonably requested, a clear screenshot or receipt showing the relevant payment confirmation.
The evidence should show only information necessary to investigate the payment, such as transaction reference, amount, date/time, payment method and payment status. Customers must not send passwords, PINs, OTPs, recovery codes, full card credentials or other authentication secrets.
A screenshot alone is not conclusive proof of settlement. Screenshots may be altered, incomplete or show a pending/reversed transaction. The Platform may validate submitted evidence against bank, wallet, payment-provider, P2P counterparty, reconciliation and internal ledger records before crediting or releasing funds.
6. Exact Amount and Reference Requirements
Where a payment flow specifies an exact amount, unique reference, order number or time window, the customer must follow those instructions. Incorrect amounts, missing references, expired orders or transfers to a previously used destination may require manual investigation and can delay credit.
The Platform may decline to accept responsibility for a transfer sent to payment details that were not displayed or confirmed for the relevant transaction, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Payment Ownership and Third-Party Payments
Customers should use payment methods they are legally entitled to use. The Platform may require proof of ownership or authority and may reject or investigate third-party payments where necessary for fraud, AML/CFT or account-security controls.
Payments made by another person do not automatically create rights for that person against the customer account.
8. Deposits and Account Credit
A deposit becomes available only after successful receipt, matching and credit to the customer account. Pending, reversed, failed or cancelled transfers may not be treated as cleared funds.
Where a deposit is mistakenly duplicated or credited without corresponding settlement, the Platform may correct the ledger and recover the erroneous credit, including from available account balance, subject to applicable law.
9. Withdrawals
Withdrawals are subject to available withdrawable balance, identity verification, payment verification, fraud and AML/CFT controls, pending wager or promotion conditions, technical availability and applicable law.
The Platform may require withdrawal to a verified method associated with the customer. Additional evidence may be requested where account, payment or transaction risk warrants further review.
10. Processing Times
Any stated processing time is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed. Banks, wallets, gateways, P2P counterparties, telecommunications networks and other third parties may affect completion times.
Where a transaction exceeds the stated normal processing period, the customer should contact support with the transaction reference and relevant non-sensitive evidence.
11. Customer Due Diligence and KYC
The Platform may verify identity, age, address, telephone number, payment ownership and other information before or after registration and at any point during the relationship. Verification may be repeated when information changes, risk increases or applicable requirements require it.
Customers must provide authentic, current and legible information. Forged, altered, stolen or misleading documents or information may result in restriction, investigation or closure.
12. Enhanced Due Diligence and Source of Funds
Where reasonably required by risk, transaction value, transaction pattern or applicable law, the Platform may request information concerning source of funds, source of wealth, occupation, beneficial ownership or the purpose of transactions.
Account functionality or withdrawals may be temporarily restricted while a lawful and proportionate verification is pending.
13. AML/CFT and Prohibited Financial Activity
The Platform must not be used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, layering, unauthorized value transfer or other unlawful financial activity. Transactions may be monitored and investigated for financial-crime risk.
Where required by law, the Platform may preserve records, reject or hold transactions, conduct enhanced review and make reports or disclosures to competent authorities without notifying the customer where notification would be unlawful.
14. Fraud and Payment Manipulation
Prohibited activity includes forged receipts, altered screenshots, false transaction references, recycled proof of payment, use of stolen payment instruments, deliberate duplicate-credit claims, fraudulent chargebacks and attempts to exploit reconciliation delays.
Where reasonable evidence indicates manipulation or fraud, the Platform may suspend the affected account or transaction while investigating and may correct erroneous credits or recover losses as permitted by law.
15. Chargebacks, Reversals and Refunds
A customer must not initiate a dishonest chargeback or reversal after receiving value. If a payment is legitimately reversed, charged back or cancelled, the Platform may adjust the account to reflect the actual settled position.
Refunds, where required or approved, may be returned through an appropriate verified payment route and may remain subject to identity and financial-crime controls.
16. P2P Counterparty and Settlement Risk
P2P processing may involve authorized counterparties or settlement participants used to facilitate payment matching and liquidity. A customer's contractual relationship remains governed by the Platform Terms and the specific payment instructions presented for the transaction.
The Platform may temporarily pause a P2P route, replace a counterparty, change transaction limits or require manual confirmation where reconciliation, liquidity, fraud or operational risk requires it.
17. Disputed Transactions
A payment dispute should be reported promptly through the official support channel. The customer should provide the account identifier, amount, date/time, payment route, transaction reference and a screenshot or receipt where available.
The Platform may compare customer evidence with its ledger, payment-provider records, P2P reconciliation records and counterparty confirmations. Where evidence conflicts, the Platform will determine the transaction status on the best available reliable records, subject to applicable complaint and dispute rights.
18. Security of Payment Evidence
Payment evidence submitted for support or verification is personal data and will be processed for transaction investigation, fraud prevention, compliance and related purposes under the Privacy & Cookie Notice and applicable Ethiopian data-protection law.
Customers should redact unrelated balances, contacts or transaction history where those details are not necessary for the investigation, provided the relevant transaction information remains visible.
19. Limits and Risk Controls
Minimum and maximum deposits, withdrawals and transaction-frequency limits may apply. Limits may differ by method and may be adjusted for legal, security, responsible-gaming, liquidity or operational reasons.
Where a limit materially affects an initiated transaction, the Platform will apply the rule and disclosure applicable at the relevant time, subject to mandatory law.
20. No Sale or Purchase of Credentials
Customers must never sell, transfer or disclose account credentials, OTPs, PINs, wallet authentication information or access codes. Support personnel and authorized payment counterparties must not require a customer's password or OTP to investigate a transaction.
21. Record Retention and Audit Trail
The Platform may retain payment, verification, reconciliation, dispute and financial-crime records for periods required or permitted by applicable law and legitimate compliance needs. Records may include transaction references, provider responses, screenshots submitted by customers, account logs and investigation outcomes.
22. Complaints and Escalation
The Platform will review the available evidence and provide the outcome through the applicable complaints process. Rights to escalate to a competent authority under applicable Ethiopian law remain unaffected.
